Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has Achieved a rare Record in The second one-day ODI was played in Pune between India and New Zealand. In the third over, Ms. Dhoni took a catch of Martin Guptill Off the Bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Dhoni was the first Indian wicketkeeper to reach 200 catches Milestone.
He thus became the world's third and first Indian wicket-keeper to achieve the feat. Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara and England's Alec Stewart have done this in their respective countries before Dhoni.
Overall, he is fourth on the list of most catches (288) - behind Adam Gilchrist (417) for Australia and ICC, Mark Boucher (402) for South Africa and Africa, Sangakkara (383) for Sri Lanka, ICC and Asia.
Later in the innings, he took another catch, off the bowling of Hardik Pandya, to dismiss Ross Taylor.
India wrapped up the series 1-1 with a six-wicket victory over New Zealand yesterday. The third ODI in the series will be held in Kanpur on 29th of this month.
