New record in international cricket has taken place during the T20 match against Kiwis in the Firoz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma created the history of the opening batsmen in the T20 innings. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on its official Twitter. Rohit, Dhawan played 98 balls in 1st T20 against Nea Zealand, was at the top of the list of openers with the highest number of balls. Pakistan openers Kamran Akmal-Salman Bhat (95 balls- Bangladesh in 2010), openers Gautam Gambir-Virender Sehwag (88 balls, England in 2007), Sri Lankan players Dinesh-Dilshan (85 balls, Pakistan in 2016), Windies openers Chris Gayle -Smith (81 balls, South Africa in 2007).
